I have spent years learning about Web Development in the classroom and I enthusiastically approach new tools and problems looking to expand my knowledge.
I’ve spent most of these years working across different areas of design like front-end development, landing pages, email design, app UI/UX, to my current role designing products for mobile platforms. Having worked on various projects that are already live, I can help you with the best possible suggestions and ideas that we can proceed with. With me, you aren’t forced to accept anything. CIS Externship Program
I was the first of a 3 month program to have a CIS student help maintain the libguides website for the library. Content management using front-end development techniques was something I was tasked with. I performed a lot of problem solving into how librarians with little technical knowledge could use core HTML, CSS and JS techniques to get the website to function how they wished and beyond the scope of their toolkit on Libguides software.
2025->
(sELF-sTUDY pROJECT) rEACT cARD gAME dEVELOPMENT
In my spare time between sending in job applications I have not neglected my skills and continued to sharpen them, particularly in regards to React where I have been independently working on a card game. In the near future I will have added satisfying depth to the game that is fully playable as is, but not as polished as I would prefer. The game logic has already been developed and the fights are fully playable but I would like to add diversity in the card library as well as complexity and animations to the mix.
You can try out my currently most built version at this Github repository and once imported simply type "npm run dev" into the terminal- aMcDonaldStudent/Card_Game_Prototype
In the future, I plan to establish a web service version that can host this game and its backend.
